Hi Parents,

Please see below for a few updates.

Please practice the sight words from the homework with your child each night. Also, if you have not been using Razkids yet, please begin. The children's levels have been adjusted to their abilities. Regular reading practice at this point is very important. We will also soon begin to send home a leveled reader for you to read at home with your child as part of their homework. More information on this will come soon.

Progress Reports

Next Wednesday, you will receive your child's progress Report. It is based on their progress to date. It is still early in the year and therefore there is still lots of time for growth. Interviews will be on Thursday, November 9th. However, if that day does not suit you, we can meet any morning that week or have a phone interview, whatever suits your schedule best. More information on this will come soon.

On Halloween, the students from Grades 1-6 are asked to wear black and orange only. Costumes are only done in Kindergarten. Also, due to allergies in the class, please don't send in any treats to share. I'm certain most will get many treats that night anyway.

Please make sure to check the Curriculum Goals Tab in the Blog to make sure you are keeping up with what we are learning in class. Showing support for your child's learning through play and authentic learning opportunities works best at this age.

With the cooler weather upon us, please make sure all your child's items are labelled. With all the extra items, things tend to go missing.

Thanks to you all for a great start to the school year!
