Hello Parents,

With the second week of school almost done, the students are settling in well into routines and are very happy with their peers and eager to learn. Thanks to all of you who have already signed up for Classdojo. It is a great way to communicate with you. If you have not done it yet, please do so ASAP.

On Tuesday you will get your child's homework folder with the word wall words and instructions on what to do. Please let me know if anything is unclear. The homework is due on the following Monday (the notebook says Tuesday but if you could please have it completed by Monday, that would give me the time to set up the new words for the following week). For the Reading Log, simply read any books you have at home for now. Later in the year I will send home levelled readers. If you ordered Scholastic books, you should get them in about a  week. If you missed today's deadline and want to order, please do so by Monday. Also, as a heads up, Photo Day is October 7.

p.s. Please make sure your child comes with a water bottle as we do not have a water fountain in class as they did in kindergarten.
