Hello Parents!

Here we are in March already. It is hard to believe. The time has gone by very quickly! Please see below for a few updates.

Xtra Math 

Please have a look at this site/App. It is a good place for the children to practice their Math facts. I recommend having the children go on a couple of times a week, especially the Grade 2 students. 

Word Wall Words

The Grade 2 students now have all the Grade 2 Word Wall Words. For the rest of the year, we will work on Word Families and spelling patterns each week.  Grade 1 students have a couple more weeks of Word Wall Words then they too will switch to learning more Word Families.

Reports/Interviews

As you know, the Report Cards have been open on the portal for you to see. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Reading

Please continue to read nightly with your child. I will continue to send home the levelled readers. The Grade 1 students should be at a level 15 by the end of June and the Grade 2 students should be at a 20.
