Hello Parents!

I hope this message finds you all well. Here we are already one month in! We have had a few changes to our group but now it seems as though we are all settled. It was lovely to meet many of you at the Open House on the 22nd. If you were not able to attend, please know I am always available to meet with you. 

Thanks to everyone for signing up for ClassDojo. It is a great way to keep the communication lines open. If you haven't registered, please do so as soon as possible. 

This week we will begin our Homework routine. It will unfold as follows. Homework will be sent home on Mondays and due back the following Monday. Please see below for the contents of homework.

1.  Reading - Students will be given a levelled reader to read nightly. It is a book at their specific level. They can read it several times during the week to practice fluency. This is not their library book. Please make sure to write in the Reading Log just once for each book. If you read it 5 times, you only need to record it once.

2. Spelling Words - Students will be given 5 words a week to study for a spelling test which will be on Friday. They will be sent on Mondays via ClassDojo.

3. Math - Students will be given 2 worksheets to practice skills taught in class. 

4. Extras will be given at certain times depend on the needs of the students. 

If this is too much for your child, please reach out. We can adjust as needed depending on your child. 

Finally, with Thanksgiving weekend around the corner, I would like to wish you all a great weekend shared with family and friends.
