Hello Parents,

Please read below for an update...

Halloween

Students are invited to wear their costumes on Halloween. Please don't send extra costume pieces such as tiaras, wings, wands... we wouldn't want them to get broken or lost before the big night. We also would like to ask you to please be mindful of the efforts we make with teaching the children about making good, healthy food choices. Too many treats in their lunches on the days following Halloween is not advised.

Fire Safety Presentation

On November 1st we will have a Fire Safety Presentation. This is a good time to discuss with your family what your plan is in case of an emergency. Also, please remember to check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Interviews

In the next week or so, you will receive in email from the school asking you to book a time for an interview with Mrs. Scott and I. Please respond soon as the slots fill quickly. The Kindergarten students do not receive a formal  Progress Reports at this time. Their first Report Card will be in early February.

Cold Weather

With the cold weather around the corner, we would like to suggest your child keep and extra pair of mittens and socks in their bags. This will be helpful in keeping them dry and warm. It very uncomfortable to be cold and wet.

Learning Commons

Please remember that we go the Learning Commons every Thursday and therefore, books are due back on Wednesdays.

Thank you

Thank you to everyone for sending in playdough, flyers and canned food. Also, thank you to the volunteers who read with the children and for those who came on the Field Trip. You are a great group of parents and we are lucky to have you all to work with.
