Homework

Thank you to everyone for supporting your child had his/her homework completed this week. The children did a great job and were very proud of themselves. I wanted to let you know though that the 1. in the margin is where the students start the sentence. They do not need to practice their numbers here. That was my fault for not having given better instruction about this. Sorry about that, it in any case please just write your sentence after the 1. in the margin next time. On that note, when we have 4 day weeks, we do not have homework so the next homework will not be due until Oct. 19. No new word walls are introduced during those weeks, instead we focus on Word Families. Finally, when completing homework, if you feel the need to take the weekend to complete it, you are welcome to send it in Mondays instead.

Orange Shirt Day

October 1st is Orange Shirt Day. If you can, wear orange to raise awareness and educate people about the painful legacy of the residential schools in Canada.
